Crown Financial Ministries in Romania
A dream came true...
The financial challenges people are facing today are staggering. Some of them are affected by growing debt, little or no savings, inadequate income and no plans for their financial future. Some others are financially sound, but their attitude towards money had robbed them of their spiritual vitality. The Bible has the answers to these financial difficulties.
New Hope Romania has invited Crown Financial Ministries to come along side us to challenge the churches to practicaly equip people to handle money from God's perspective.
In Timisoara, on November 5-6, 2006 we have launched the program using the Catalytic Event. The process of "equipping Romanians to learn, apply and teach God's financial principles, so that they will know Christ more intimately, become free to serve Him and help fund the Great Commission" has started. Dave Rae, the President of Crown Financial Ministries and Peter Briscoe, Crown's European Director had lead the team of speakers.
During the first day, over 120 pastors and church leaders were exposed to the training. The second day was focused on business and professional people and we had over 210 attendees.
People were astonished to see that the Bible contains more than 2,350 verses dealing with money, much more then verses about faith and salvation. The feed back after touching topics like Ownership, Spending and Debt, Giving, Saving and Knowing God and Integrity, was tremendeous. People returned to their churches very well motivated to make a change. At their turn, business and professionals had the chance to find the Bible truths about Purpose, Finances, Integrity, Ownership in business. We were amazed to see that the impact and response of this last category of people was even greater. The program will continue with the next step: Small Groups Training Event, in March 2007.
