Felicia Sodolan

I was born, in a Christian family under the communist dictatorship a period when, in Romania, Christianity was marginalized.
However, my faith could not be stifled by the Marxist evolutionism - by that time heavily taught in schools - because the seed my parents and my grandparents had planted in my soul bloomed, by God's grace.
Having had the chance to be a student with the Faculty of Physics, albeit during the same restrictive regime, helped me to better understand the relationship between Creation and the Creator, fact which was decisive for the strengthening of my faith.
After Revolution, I worked as a physicist in the Institute of Electronics in Cluj and as a Physics teacher in a neighboring village. Teaching in a secular school gave me the opportunity to pass on to my students the mysteries of science, which all speak of the beauty, greatness and the power of the Creator.
Personally, I came to understand that "even if I knew all mysteries and had all knowledge...but had not love, I would be nothing". So I said ‘yes' to Jesus and thus set off on the long journey of faith assuming all its ups and downs.
Later, I started working in the Christian High school in Cluj, where I had the privilege to meet wonderful people, many of my former students being today, in their turn, teachers, doctors and pastors, and I was glad to see that God always finds the right people to carry on His ministry.
In parallel, I work part time with the ‘New Hope' Foundation as a secretary; also, I translate books and various teaching materials that are used in Sunday Schools and for Bible Study groups. Of all these, without the shadow of doubt, the Bible remains closest to my heart.
I also organize meetings with high school and University students on different topics of science and religion and, together with voluntaries, I organize Christian camps for teenagers, which are an opportunity to get to know God better year by year.
