Conquering the Wild West
Last summer we started to conquer the Wild West together with about 250 kids. (watch video) This phenomenon started to spread around in several other churches, especially in South of Romania in the flooded areas. (watch video) I loved western movies when I was a child. We don't have this movies any more and I'm sure that our kids don't watch them. But they got the idea and they loved it. They simply liked the theme, so the Bible stories and the message of the Gospel started to make sense when they were presented by some "local cowboys". Once you get in the role it's hard to get back to normal. I met some kids that don't even know my real name, but they call me "Gringo" because this was my nickname in the "Wild West".
Last week, a group of about 40 kids from "Baia de Cris", a small town, located in West (of course) of Romaina were visited by our "cowboys". They really enjoyed being "into the wild" playing games, doing crafts and learning from the Bible and the life of Jesus. They are part of a small church which is rarely visited by someone. They received our volunteers with open arms. We feel that we were blessed and honored we could minister in that area. See more photos from this Mission trip here.
