Drive in Car Wash Church
"Drive in Car Wash Church" I want to go to that Church too!
For the last days of May we planned a big event at the church. We advertised it the weeks before, so we expected a large number of people coming in. For the first time in our church history, the youth group is organizing a Car Wash. In that afternoon, an army of teenagers showed up "armed" with professional water guns, car shampoo, sponges, vacuum cleaners... and a lot of energy. The location? Church yard. They organized everything in details: entrance and exit of the cars, the washing process, the "waiting room" with tea or coffee, the pay office...
Then, the cars started to "invade" the church yard. For about 5 hours and a quick rain shower, they worked very hard. The stake was a big one. Their summer camp! All the funds that has been collected are to be used for the summer camps. And the price for a car wash was not cheap. Believe me, I was there!
"This was a very good activity" said one of our "customers". "Our teenagers learn how to value money and camps. You should do this again..."
