Road to Rome
"Ave! I am the great emperor of Rome and I had a great plan to rebuild the great city I am very proud of. Every day of the last week, I presented new buildings or places to my citizens: Caesar's palace, arenas, squares, temples, aqueducts and catacombs. But, I also heard some rumors who seemed to break the peace of our city and myself. The so called Christians are disturbing the city preaching about their prophet who risen from the dead.
Hmmm... I had to take some measures, so I sent five legions to browse the city, searching for some evidences. At the end of every day I heard the testimonies about this Christians. Contrary to my expectations, they seemed to be kind and peaceful... and something attracted me to hear more of what they have to say. I don't know how, but at the end of those five days, I found myself a different person. First, I planned to erase them from the face of the earth, but something changed inside of me while I was following them. Their prophet is alive and I believe that"
Well, the great and proud Caesar turned into a real believer. This was the story of the VBS at First Baptist Church (Manastur) in Cluj, joint project with EGM Romania. Over 250 kids and 30 leaders joined the roman legions in their quest for the "trouble making" Christians. Their mission was a real success. They learned a lot about the early Christians and the way God worked in those times. They met Paul, the apostle and heard his adventures with God. They understood the love of Jesus who protected His followers during the centuries. More than that, they understood that they are His disciples now, and must share His Gospel with love as He did on earth.
